Choices

We have so many choices to make throughout our lives. We even have a right to choose here in this country. In the massive organization where I currently work they recently shuffled a few offices around and there is a new group across the hall from me. I looked up at their signage and it says "Zones of Choice". I wonder what the heck they are all about! I will have to investigate that later today.

It is great to have choices, but then you have decisions to make. Will the decisions you make be the right ones or the wrong ones? Is there a right one or a wrong one? Will there be consequences to the choices you make and, if so, are you willing to accept those consequences?

God gives us choices, too. There is an eternal consequence to the most important choice he gives us... to accept him or to reject him. We can serve God or we can serve satan. We can go to heaven or we can go to hell. The choice is ours to make. The decision will have eternal consequences and cannot be reversed once you die or Jesus returns, whichever comes first. I don't know when either of those events will occur, do you? So, what is your choice?

Joshua 24:15 (NLT) - "But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD."
