I heard a great message last night about the need for Baby Boomers to stand up and let their voices be heard. The Boomers who are part of the Body of Christ should be mentors for the younger generations and not stand silent on societal issues that conflict with the Word of God. Let God’s love rule the day while not compromising his commands and values. We have stood idly by either through fear, intimidation, or complacency. Let us not say to ourselves, “Oh well, that’s the next generation’s problem.”
Our children and grandchildren are observing to see how we react to the changes that society is throwing at us. New norms have become or will become new realities and embed themselves into the fabric of our national culture. Speak up now while our voices may still be heard. Share God’s love and his truth with the younger generations. Be a spiritual father or mother to those generations and bring them into the family of God while there is still time. Jesus promised his return. He is coming soon!
