God knows you better than you know yourself. He knows your heart and everything that is in it. He even knows your thoughts and the words you’re going to say before you speak them. Nothing is hidden from him. But don’t be afraid to invite him to search your heart and point out anything that offends him.
Why would you want to invite God to search you for anything that you think you might be keeping hidden? Because he already knows about it! The act of inviting him in demonstrates your willingness to be transparent to your Heavenly Father that loves you so much that he was willing to give his one and only Son to die for you. He will lead you along the path of everlasting life. Don’t try to do the impossible and hide things from God. Let him reveal hidden sin so that you can walk in freedom from it! You will experience so much joy and inner peace that you cannot contain it!
Psalms 139:23-24 (NLT) - “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”
