I hear people say all the time around here, “If you don’t like the weather today, don’t worry because it will change tomorrow!” That seems to be so true, especially during this time of year. It may be cold, sunny, and windy today and then tomorrow ends up being calm, cloudy, and warm. Raining one day turns into sunshine the next. I read in a Facebook post this morning that there are tornado warnings in southern California! And they say it never rains there. Well it has been lately.
Times are changing and seasons are changing. Our country is changing and the whole world seems to be changing. I’ve read about rumors that our monetary system may be seeing a change coming at some point. Some of these changes may be for the good and some of them may not be so good. But one thing is a sure bet. Change is inevitable. It always has been and it always will be.
One thing never changes and holds steady and true throughout eternity. No matter what happens with our society, our world, our weather, our laws, or even our collective morality… Jesus and his Word never changes. He is the steady rock that is the foundation you can stand on and cling to. Never waiver from his Word and his will, no matter where the winds of change try to take you. Hold on to your faith and don’t compromise!
