It is Resurrection Sunday… Easter Sunday! This is the day we celebrate our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He sacrificed himself for our sins and paid the penalty for us by dying on the cross. On the third day he arose from the grave and he now sits at the Father’s right hand to intercede for us. That deserves a big hallelujah!
Easter Sunday is typically the most largely attended church service of the year. It saddens me when people only attend church on certain days of the year. God should be first in our lives and we need to devote ourselves to regular fellowship with others so that we can lift each other up and hold one another accountable. One or two Sundays each year will not accomplish that.
Your eternal destination rides on your decision to believe in Jesus or not. Accept him as your Lord and Savior. If he had not died for your sins you would have no hope. Because he lives, your eternal home is with God!
Ephesians 1:19-23 (NLT) - “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.”
