I am so proud to fly my American flag in front of my house in honor of the country that I was so blessed to serve for over 32 years, along with my fellow veterans. I would like to give special tribute to all the veterans and their families that served… past and present.
This great country of ours is free because of their sacrifice and because they are willing to stand in harm’s way so that our citizens may sleep in peace at night. The families of these brave men and women may not sleep as peacefully while their loved ones are in distant lands serving their country. Many have gone before them and many will follow.
The calling to serve in the armed forces is a noble calling and it often comes with great sacrifice. My prayers today are thanksgiving to God for protecting those who serve, comforting the families of those we have lost, healing those who are wounded, and guiding our leaders who have to send them into harm’s way.
Thank you, Veterans of all wars and all eras, for your service and sacrifice. We appreciate you and your families for all that you do and all that you have done. May you be remembered and cherished always. God bless you!
