Oh What Joy!

My Texas grandkids were in bed, but waiting for me to arrive last night. My granddaughter made my day when she popped up in bed with the most beautiful, widest smile on her face and happy tears in her eyes. I picked her up and held her and she kicked her legs around and that pretty grin never left her face. That is what being a granddaddy is all about!

We are praying for a reunion of all my kids and grandkids at the zoo or museum here in Houston next week, but my son hit me with the news that he will most likely have to work next week, except for Christmas day. Deep sigh… At least I’ll get to catch up to him when we head up to Arkansas at the end of the week. But we are excited for the chance to get all these five precious grandkids in one place.

I pray that your Christmas season is filled with joy and family. Know that, at the very least, you have a Heavenly Father that is with you in season and out. He loves you and he gave you the greatest gift of all. That is the real reason to celebrate during this time and throughout the year. Oh what joy!
